Aaron, we enjoyed the dance 10/20/07, particularly the dance sheet with dance style listed for the beginners to know what to try to do. I have been passing the word and have given your e mail address to friends. I wanted to wait and tell you this on Tues but I am so excited I can't wait. As you know we went to Chad's dad's wedding this Sat, they played a few swing songs and no one would dance to the swing songs.
Well finally I said let's go dance, it was a good fast swing and no one was on the dance floor but us and even dancing on cement we did great. Not only did we do great, everyone that was watching us clapped, can you believe?
Even though we are still a work in progress, I want to thank you for your time and patience, Mark and I really enjoy our classes. I think this weekend really helped us with our confidence/comfort levels to be on a dance floor by ourselves and do our thing.

Your swing performances surpassed all our expectations. Your energy filled the room with excitement. The audience loved it!!! We accept cash or check anytime! We also accept Visa and Master Card for private lessons.
Dance Parties
Mandeville Ballroom dances feature a prerecorded mix of music, with all sorts of tempos and genres of music. The playlist is set beforehand, but we will take a few requests during the dance.
Dances which are labeled "Swing" or "Latin" have much more music within those genres, however, at any given dance, at least a portion will be other music, not Latin or Swing.
As much as I'd love to be able to let people know what mix of people will be at any given dance, I sure can't. Every time I try, something other than what i said happens.. (Never fails!) Just rest assured that most people who attend social dances are very sociable- they aren't there to judge or ridicule.
Attire is usually Dressy-Casual.
The Social dance parties are not age-restricted. All ages are welcome. Refreshments are provided.NO BYOL (please don't bring alcohol)
We usually have some sort of chips, fruit, cheese, and fruit punch, lemonade, and soft drinks.. And coffee.
You never need to bring a partner (unless there's a special event which requires one).
