I have lived in Mandeville all my life. I played soccer and earned a black belt in TKD (MKTC). I graduated in December 2005 from Southeastern Louisiana University (SLU) with a bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship, then I began working full-time for Latter & Blum Realtors, inc. I left Latter and Bloom to focus all my attention on Mandeville Ballroom, llc.

How I got into Social Dance:

I began dancing as a Sophomore in college. A family friend  told me that her daughter taught dancing locally, so I went. I immediately fell in love with the different dances and the social freedom they afforded me.

I subsequently began a club at SLU: the Southeastern Swing Dance Club, SDC for short. I really wanted to practice more often and I also wanted to share my love of ballroom dancing with others.

I was, soon after, recruited on the board of directors for the United States Amateur Ballroom Dancers' Association (USABDA). I have been working with them ever since. In addition to those involvements, I also help out with the Highschool dance clubs (MHS, FHS). I help out and really enjoy myself there. The Highschool club members enjoy what they do so much, that it's a great pleasure to be around them.

Now, my mission is to spread the love of social dance throughout the Northshore, and to provide dancers with a safe, alcohol-free venue to learn and practice new skills.

I currently continue to improve my dance skills through lessons, workshops and private instruction from nationally and internationally recognized instructiors and coaches.
